PFAS Remedial Investigation, Hudson River, NY

Sovereign conducted a soil, groundwater and sediment remedial investigation at a major PCB and metals site located on the banks of the Hudson River in New York State. As part of the investigation, Sovereign collected groundwater samples PFAS and 1,4-dioxane analysis. This work was conducted to pre-delineate and refine excavation and dredging limits in support of remedial design and construction. Sovereign’s investigation effort included collection of approximately 120 soil and river sediment borings to depths of 14 ft below surface. NYSDEC required analysis of the full PFAS Target Analyte List of 21 compounds by NYSDEC’s Division of Environmental Remediation, and required use of Modified Method EPA 537 with isotope dilution.
